If a live action movie of LaMB was to be produced, who would you like to see play the starring roles of Eve and Jack and why?
Since Animax is based in Japan, naturally it would be better to seek from the locals to play the starring roles.
For the Jack, I would recommend Yutaka Takenouchi because he has that awesome look that is required to play Jack.

The song is suitable because its about two individuals, with one guiding the other and of course being in love with each other. The process of lamination limits the ability of the person to express themselves and thus will fall naturally into place.
The band choice of The Delgados is also good because it would help give motivation for them to come back together and make more awesome music. Not to mention by not being such a mainstream band the costs of hiring them would be lower.

I been on Cerra for quite some time now. The use of LaMBs on Cerra is quite a common sight unlike Earth where due to the split in opinion regarding the use of LaMB, their use have been fairly limited. However personally I feel that these people who oppose such a wonderful thing are held by back backwards and useless feelings.
Firstly, these people have committed some crime that warrants such harsh punishment, however a crime is a crime and they must be punished. However, for crimes like murder or other planned attacks on another human being, the victim or the immediate family of the victim should be able to choose for themselves whether to have the person executed or laminated. Being laminated means that the victim would wish to forgive the perpratrator and the other choice would mean otherwise, thus both options would be able to give closure to the victim or their family. This proposition would help prevent incidents where the victim’s family seeked out the laminated criminal for revenge from ever happening again, thus improving the system.
Next, the deployment of LaMBs would help contribute to society as a whole. However, due to the high costs of Fechnology, the treatment is only availiable to the richest of the richest. Thus, this creates an incentive for those who wish to remain alive longer to commit felonies in order to get laminated and may result in arrangements for hiring out services to kill someone and thus obtaining both lamination and funds that would be banked for use after their sentences are complete. Thus a careful check or the policy for giving the families the choice of treatment would reduce occurences of the above happening so to ensure that a punishment is still a punishment.
Lastly, the most simple reasons to support lamination is the preservation of human lifes (not that that matters alot) and thus prevent unneccessary execution of possibly innocent people via the death sentence. The reduction in possible slavery in the colonies of the FEG as there is now a legal and morally correct way of obtaining a slave.
A good Shepard
I would gladly take responsibility of a LaMB,preferbly a female one with deliciously flat chest.However, the lamination procedure and the limitation it imposes on the subject is fairly draconic. Firstly, to restrict their ability to express themselves through words and facial expressions is just extremely cruel. I am quite sure that after their sentences, the LaMBs still retain memories of what happened during their sentences, leading to possible payback in form of attacks on their former Shepards. Thus it would be better to allow them communicate verbally with their Shepards and thus establish understanding between the LaMB and the Shepard. This would also allow them to reconsider their actions through interaction with their Shepards and thus increase the human factor in the lamination process. The above feature should also be avaliable as an optional one and that the LaMB is only able to communicate with his/her Shepard. However, if the rules are such hardcoded and the bureaucratic nature of the system does not allow any changes. Then, I would exploit this loophole by ordering the LaMB to type/write out what they wish to communicate to me, besides a robot that couldn’t communicate or insult you is no fun to be around.

Free will? Freedom of speech? These are totally romantic concepts propogated by the Western culture in the past. However, the unification of the world by the Federated Earth Government wasn’t simply through treaties and negotiations but through the annexation of the unwilling nations via military power. Thus as a result of the bloody past of the Federated Earth Government, any open opposition to the Government is strongly punished. Over the past few decades, these restrictions have been relaxed as there is very few people still alvie that could remember the concept of the tiny inefficient states.
Silence and obedience of the people is necessary for the peace and stability of the society. With the issue of conflicting freedoms, it would be selfish for individuals to pursue their freedoms if it disrupts order of society.
However, putting society aside. In private matters, there are times when there is alot of stake (well on your own end) and that one cannot speak up or express themselves, especially in the matters of feelings for others. This would lead to a great tortune on the part of the individual. But of course speaking up would lead to even much more disastrous results, which at least is short termed.

The official website for the anime adaptations of The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya-chan (Suzumiya Haruhi-chan no Yūutsu) and Nyorōn Churuya-san parody manga has announced that their first episodes will begin streaming on February 13 at “about 10:00 p.m.” Japan time. Puyo has drawn The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya-chan manga as the “official gag manga” of Nagaru Tanigawa and Noizi Ito’s The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya light novels for both Monthly Shonen Ace and The Sneaker magazines from Kadokawa Shoten since July 2007. Life on Cerra is not much different from that on the ship. First of all, everything here is recycled efficiently, nothing is wasted and everything is restored to environmental system. Here on Cerra, over 80% of the waste is recycled. With lamination, resources that were once devoted to running prisons can now be put to other uses. Not only is the system materially efficient, incarceration of the criminals can also produce labour and contribute back into the system.
However, like any closed system, a planet can only support so many living organisms before it reaches its limit and collapse. Thus it is necessary to identify the limits of the system before too much damage is done to the environment. After this limit is identified, a population hierachy must be established to ensure that resources are allocated efficiently. By this I mean automating every single function that can done by machines and imposing a population limit. With fechonology, people are able to attain near immortality, thus if population is not limited, the death rate would be very low and thus the population would grow indefinitely. One of the functions of reproduction is to leave behind genetic material, however with immortality this function cease to be important, and thus population limitations will not have much of an impact on society.
Also with automation of almost every chore, labour is no longer required. Energy is the key in such society where extensive use of machinery plays a crucial role as it is the lifeblood of the machines. Thus in order to maintain the system, a source of renewable energy must be harnassed and better choice are there other than solar energy. Unless the sun fails, this energy source will be able to power all the energy needs of the cities of Cerra.
Position in population hierachy shall simply be determined by the intelligence once posess. An extreme form of meritocracy combined with eugenics would allow for the creation of a uniquely Cerralean human beings. This would allow for the CABC to be much less dependent on the Federated Earth Government, and through rapid advancements in technology as a result of a successful eugenic program producing countless talents in the their respective fields. This would further benefit not just Cerra through the export and trade in cutting edge technology but also humanity by enabling us to reach out further into our galaxy.

We finally arrived at the spaceport of Cerra. Due to space travel regulations, the ship’s crew is required to observe a 3 day quarantine before being able to set foot on Cerra. Two members of the spaceport authority of Cerra have boarded the ship to make the routine inspection. I met the strange duo of a stunning looking lady and an senior officer from the port authority making their inspection aboard the ship. The lady was wearing a skin blue colored tight suit which makes her stand out of place by making her figure stand out even more. I heard from one of the crew members that the duo is a Shepard and LaMB team. They are the product of the legal system here on Cerra where convicted criminals instead of being imprisoned have undergone the process of Lamination to serve their sentence.
Lamination originated from a man’s vision of a society where everyone is forever young and beautiful, an utopia of physical perfection. The process involved slowing down the body’s aging mechanism through Fashion-Technology (Fechnology), allowing people to remain young for as long as the treatment is administrated. The technology allow people to live indefinitely, however due to Fechnology being a relatively young procedure, the oldest person alive substained by this treatment is now over 150 years old and the subject is still healthy. However, here on Cerra it is used in conjunction with other technologies as a form of a imprisonment. The unique nature of Cerra’s culture has made this form of imprisonment an acceptable form of punishment.
Later that day over a meal in the mess one of my female shipmates brought up this fairly provoking question in the form of this simple sentence, “I would like kill to get looks like that”. Would someone commit a crime to stay young and beautiful?
Immortality and eternal beauty had been the holy grail of medical science. This has been depicted in the tale of Tithonus in which immortality comes in the form of undeath and suffering which is usually the case for people living to long ages due to the rapid advancement in medical science. However, Fechonlogy changed the way people treat death in society as immortality becomes attainable, also with it comes many new dilemmas.
Immortality will grant people enough time to achieve their goals and to be able to keep trying despite failing, thus achieve many other goals. However, immortality is only the means to pursue other goals but not as the end itself, as it ironic that immortality is an end as it is endless. Immortality despite all the perks of having all the time in the world, also comes with its disadvantages. Take for example in the classical series “The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy” written by 20th century author Douglas Adams about an immortal alien having accomplished everything became so bored and started insulting every single sentient creature in the galaxy according to a namelist with the help of a time travelling spaceship. Such is the dangers of endless life.
As for beauty, I dont see why its necessary to pursue such drastic measures to attain it. I mean beauty is a suggestive thing and it is often related to a person’s confidence. however this assumption is a sad one as a book cover does not make a book. Beauty is also a subjective thing and there is no such thing as perfect beauty as the tastes vary from one to another, thus it a pointless pursuit. Of course personally I find superficial beauty to be totally overrated, of course that does not mean that the word ugly does not exist in my dictionary. Every type of beauty is subjective and thus there can simply no perfection in the sense of beauty.
It is thus foolish to pursue beauty by commiting a crime but if you have goals that needed to be achieved and staying young or prolonging is necessary to achieve it then it is reasonable to pursue immortality at any costs.

ENTRY START:
FEGSS(Federated Earth Government Spaceship) Twinkle have just entered the Cerrean system and is near the end of our transit to Cerra. Cerra, a dusty and barren desert planet 25 light years away from Earth, another one of humanity’s numerous colonies throughtout the galaxy. Looking out the viewport, the sight of Cerra reminded me of Mars back in the Solar System. 
My ship is one of the many exploration ships of the FEG(Federated Earth Government) with the objective of finding new planets to colonize and of course make contact with any intelligent lifeforms out there in the universe. After a few centuries of exploration, we have been sucessful in planting the seed of humanity on numberous planets but humanity have never encountered a single intelligent lifeform during the years of expansion. However, humanity has enriched itself with the discovery of numerous organisms that have greatly advanced medical science
This has led me to wonder, are humanity the only true sentient species in the universe? Researchers in the 21st century have stipulated the chance of lifeforms similar to Earth is 10^-388(yes thats alot of zeros) and the maximum number of life supporting planets in the universe is 10^22, however this estimate while outdated is fairly substantial as our sucess with finding simple organism is quite remarkable. No matter how small the probability, the hope of finding intelligent life has been one of reasons that I left the comforts of Earth and joined the expeditionary fleet. When I was a child I was fascinated with shows and interactive media about space and intelligent lifeforms.
However, the classics that inspired me the most is a 21st century game called Mass Effect and the Japanese anime series – Macross
Whats most inspiring about Mass Effect is not just aliens, but that the aliens we would encounter no matter how different from us physically, are basically just like us in many ways. However, in Macross the story of the struggle between humanity and the Zentradi which resulted in the overcoming of differences between the two races and peaceful coexistance.
However, despite these romantic ideas. It is very likely that any intelligent lifeforms we encounter may be hostile and we must be ready to fight for our survival when these happen, thats why the defence forces of the FEG exist for.
