Pocky love(Yomi on right and Kagura on the left)
Ga-Rei Zero is about the life of Tsuchimiya Kagura a girl who is the descendent of a long line of exorcists and the series is based around the lives of Kagura and Yomi, another exorcist from the Agency. The series begins with showing us Section Four of the Special Tactics Squad (a special unit consisting of people who can actually see spirits. from the Supernatural Disaster Prevention Headquarters of the Ministry of Defence being singlehandedly wiped out by Yomi. Then the story progresses with a scene which appears to have Yomi executing Kagura. After that it tracks backwards to the time before that episode when Kagura first met Yomi and the story progress from then until the finale at which the plot closes up to the 2nd episode.

Sure you can show tits, but nooo you must go and censor the flat chest…
The plot is pretty much solid and without any loopholes I could detect but however it does not follow the manga to the book, however I feel that changes are appropriate for the show to be interesting. For those who have read the manga Ga-Rei Zero will be a fairly good explaination of Yomi and Kagura. The shoujo-ai elements in the show are delicious but not excessive as it goes more along the lines of sisterly love.
The music in the show was awesome(maybe I am just a sucker for melancholia melodies, but the OP and ED are good.

Pocky is great for all occasion
The characters are interesting and the voice acting is good with Wakamoto lending his voice to the Nabuu and Nabuu, twin brothers working for the Agency.

Ayame Jinguuji the head of the Agency

Yomi’s facial expression when she saw her former boss’s wheelchair and minigun leg

Yomi kicking ass, with a weapon I approve of

I Kazuhiro Mitogawa command you to destroy the world and kill your imouto
Storyline 9/10
Music 10/10
Characters 9/10
Overall score 9/10
Code Geass S1 :Lelouch of the Rebellion

Code Geass or also known as Code Gayass
I have just finish watching this series recently and all I can say is that it is undeniably the most awesome anime to be made in 2007. It has some of the best character design, mecha design and plot that I have ever seen for a mecha anime in the past.
SPOILERS INCLUDED BELOW
The awesome character design is mainly attributed to CLAMP (who brought us Cardcaptor) who did a marvelous job with the character concepts, the characters are pleasant to look at and have a unique feel to them as compared to other animes, making it quite refreshing to watch. The main character Lelouch Lamperouge (real name Lelouch Vi Britannia or as many would call him Lulu) was a refreshing change from the standard “good” heroic protagonists found in other anime series. Lulu’s goal of destroying the Holy Empire of Britannia (whom he is a prince of) at any costs makes him something along the line of an anti-hero. However we are constantly reminded that he is indeed a good person as what is carrying out is for the good his sister Nunnally(who was blinded due to psychological trauma and crippled due to gunshot wounds sustained during the assassination of their mother) as he wanted to create a world that they can leave in peace in a world without any hatred and conflict around them. In episode 1, Lulu was involved in a series of events and was granted the power of a Geass which allows him to give absolute commands from a green haired girl call C.C (real name not revealed yet but expect it in season 2) which helps him with his plan of destroying the Britannia empire (a plan already in mind before even gaining the power). We were awed by Lulu’s intelligence when he utterly destroyed his brother (Prince Clovis) army with just a bunch of insurgents with stolen Knightmare frames and suprerior tactics and grasp of the battlefield. Lulu’s persona as Zero, leader of the Order of the Black Knights, is entertaining to watch as he struggles to keep his identity a secret and yet carry out his plans without hurting those he know. Lulu in my opinion is said to be comparable to Artemis Fowl in terms of intelligence and behavior and this makes him one of my most favorite male protagonist found in any anime series. Also another interesting character would be C.C the mysterious green haired girl whos erratic behaviour makes the show much more interesting as her true motives are yet to be found throughtout the entire first season, I also do not know what wish or contract that she had bound with Lulu when she gave Lulu his power but this makes the audience want to know more about her and thus her popularity.

Lulu and C.C
The next wonderful part about Code Geass is the plot, it has a hero(Suzaku Kururugi who had committed patricide and the only character which i despise in the series) screwing up the anti-hero’s plans which makes the series fairly interesting, also the parts where Lulu outsmarted his opponents as a battlefield commander is fun to watch. One of the most memorable lines Lulu said throughout the series is along the lines of plotting a coup d’état and a school festival at the same time. The mecha design of the series is quite interesting as most frames seemed to be built around a rocket escape pod and look different compared to mechas from other series. One of the most interesting features that set the frames apart from other mecha is that most of the suits are equipped with Slash Harken(wired rocket anchors) which can be used both offensively as a weapon or as a rope to give the frames much more mobility on terrains and opens up different styles of fighting as compared to just melee/ranged combat between the combatants. Unique mecha designs (yes the Guren Nishiki piloted by Kallen, Zero’s faithful lieutenant is fairly nice) sets this series far apart from other series like Gundam which seems to keep reusing the same concepts over and over again.
Finally, ending the first season with a cliffhanger left me wanting more of Code Geass. Thus to conclude this review, I will repeat this again, CODE GEASS IS THE BEST ANIME MADE IN 2007 and you gotta be crazy to miss it.
ALL HAIL BRITANNIA!!!!!
Sorry about this wordy review, I really got to work on my English skills.
EP02 introduces us to Kurumu Kurono, a succubus that is after Tsukune to become her “destined one”. More fanservice and harem hijinks ensue in this episode

In EP3 we are introduced to Yukari Sendo the 11 year old smart loli witch who is also a bisexual. <3 Yukari for her loliness.
Yukari <3 Moka

Looks familiar but reversed

Rosario is a funny harem series that is packed with awesome fanservice and the art style is definately of my tastes, with variation of dark environments and bright characters.
EP 1 features the antics of some incompetent Italian terrorist. First, they planted a bomb and stayed on site to detonate it, also 5 of them (including their cell leader) piled into a single getaway vehicle and of course we all know what happens next. Seriously I could have planned an attack better than them. Also we also witness Triela acting unprofessionally by having disarmed a knife wielding terrorist then proceeding to shoot him in the guts, getting all the bloody splatter all over her clothes.
In EP2, the series starts to get interesting with the introduction of Pinocchio a teenage assassin working for the Padania Republic Faction who was behind the attack in the first episode. We also get a preview of what is to happen in the next episode where the terrorist plan to blow up a important bridge with the help of the freelance terrorist Franca and Franco.
Also, we witness the return of Angelica who was tought to have died at the end of the first season. Also at the end of this episode , the ED was sang by another artist which makes it quite refreshing, I hope the future episodes would be similar to this format.
Pinocchio on his first day at work

Pinocchio and friends

The return of moe Angelica. Note the size of the machine gun that Rico is holding

Also theres yet another loli for the fans. Her name is Aurora

With a different studio comes a different art style, madhouse did an exceptional job with the first series and this has left me with extremely high expectations for the second one.
Firstly, I could say that the OP and ED was nicely done and fits into the mood of the anime
I couldnt really understand Japanese so I cannot comment on the subs or the plot.
So meanwhile enjoy these screencaps until the groups release their ones
.

The version I watched was from ayako and first impressions are plainly just pantsu and more pantsu
The opening

And wham in the face pantsu

That kicks off the start of the most fanservice heavy I have seen in the start 2008 up till now.
Moka is the girl vampire with bright pink hair and Tsukune is the wussy human stuck in a school for monster for a month ( the bus only comes once per month)
Do you want to have secks with me oh wait I mean be my friend?

And yet pantsu shot, Moka might as well run around with only her pantsu

The “vampire effect”

This is what Moka looks like after tentacle(actually its just a tongue) rape. (Actually its jsut a lick)

And of course what happens after the rosary goes off is quite funny. Basically Moka transforms into this advanced super vampire person with pink hair. Apparently transforming enchances not just her strength but her breast size and ass size.
Boobs gets bigger!!!!

And no more ridculously bright pink cheerful looking hair!!!

All in all Rosario to Vampire was quite entertaining for the first episode and does have alot of potential. I had’nt read the manga yet so I am not going to be able comment on the adaptation part of the storyline. However if your looking for fanservince, this is the show to watch this year.
School days was the most twisted school romance harem anime I have ever watched. It has left quite an impact on me with its awesome yet creepy ending.
The ending was one of the best I had ever saw in 2007 and it was something like this
Kotonoho flashes her saw

Sekai tries to defend herself (Darn Kotonoho must be really good, taken some classes on self defence or something)

Sekai getting one last look at her killer

Sekai dieing

“Just as I thought, it was a lie. There’s no one inside.” (Best line Kotohono had ever said in the entire seires)

Lovers sailing off into the sunset (Nice boat)

Couples finally together in peace at last

107 years after “Lost Artemis” an event in which the moon was destroyed by some weird reason not explained throughout the entire series. It centers around a group of girls which use IDOLs(The giant robots in the series) to fight each other and those evil moon fragments called “Drops”

The characters are based on a hit arcade game in Japan by the name of Idolm@ster. It has a nice blend of several character genres and the characters themselves are also cute and appealing. It comes with its own evil loli character and even a spy girl.
Yukiho Hagiwara(Spy Girl)

R.I.F.F.A(Evil Loli)

And heres another one

The plot is quite boring in the first 15 episodes when the rivalry between Modenkind and Turiavita hadnt exploded into a serious war. The mecha on mecha action in the first few episodes is mainly hugging or wrestling. After episode 15, the IDOLs from Turiavita finally gets armed with some proper combat equipment which make the fights interesting. Generally, it centres around the girl’s love for their IDOLS or generally in a special case of Chihaya, exterme fetish for Imber.
And of course every series involving girls is incomplete without some yuri action
Chihaya on Yukiho(Who loves Chihaya who loves Imber)

Imber(yes pink paintjob -_-) and Haruka Amami

All in all if you like giant robots, cute anime girls and want to seem some robot fetish you may want to pick up this series by Sunrise.
