Ga-Rei Zero Series Review!

Pocky love(Yomi on right and Kagura on the left)

Ga-Rei Zero is about the life of Tsuchimiya Kagura a girl who is the descendent of a long line of exorcists and the series is based around the lives of Kagura and Yomi, another exorcist from the Agency. The series begins with showing us Section Four of the Special Tactics Squad (a special unit consisting of people who can actually see spirits. from the Supernatural Disaster Prevention Headquarters of the Ministry of Defence being singlehandedly wiped out by Yomi. Then the story progresses with a scene which appears to have Yomi executing Kagura. After that it tracks backwards to the time before that episode when Kagura first met Yomi and the story progress from then until the finale at which the plot closes up to the 2nd episode.

lol
Sure you can show tits, but nooo you must go and censor the flat chest…

The plot is pretty much solid and without any loopholes I could detect but however it does not follow the manga to the book, however I feel that changes are appropriate for the show to be interesting. For those who have read the manga Ga-Rei Zero will be a fairly good explaination of Yomi and Kagura. The shoujo-ai elements in the show are delicious but not excessive as it goes more along the lines of sisterly love.

The music in the show was awesome(maybe I am just a sucker for melancholia melodies, but the OP and ED are good.

Pocky is great for all occasion

The characters are interesting and the voice acting is good with Wakamoto lending his voice to the Nabuu and Nabuu, twin brothers working for the Agency.

Ayame Jinguuji the head of the Agency

Yomi’s facial expression when she saw her former boss’s wheelchair and minigun leg

Yomi kicking ass, with a weapon I approve of

I Kazuhiro Mitogawa command you to destroy the world and kill your imouto

Storyline 9/10
Music 10/10
Characters 9/10
Overall score 9/10
